Are You Ready?

With all that has been going on in the world, especially very recently, I have had the feeling Jesus will be returning very soon. But, of course, I thought that it was just me hoping. But the past couple of weeks I can't seem to do much with out being reminded of this. I feel God has been telling me that Jesus will be back soon. Maybe tomorrow or not until years from now. But soon. And that the church is not ready. We need to prepare ourselves. Too many Christians are "asleep".
Romans 13:11 & 12 says: " And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light."
The Bible says we are not to conform to this world. We can't live like the rest of the world and expect to go to Heaven when our time here is through. Paul makes this clear in Romans 2:5-8 when he says, "But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when His righteous judgement will be revealed. God will give to each person according to what he has done. To those, who by persistance in doing good, seek glory, honor and immortality, He will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger."
I believe that there are very few that God is truly pleased with right now. So many people think that they're alright, but are so caught up in themselves that they can't see what is right in front of them. That they are condemning themselves by the lives that they live. Too happy in their sin to admit that they are sinning.
Christ is coming back for His church. But if things don't change, there won't be a very big crowd going with Him.
We have to come out and be separate. We have to make those changes and start living our lives the way we KNOW God wants us to. We have to saturate ourselves in His word and pray like we've never prayed before. We have to witness. There are so many out there that need Jesus and don't know how to get Him. And we have to seek God like there's no tomorrow, because you never know, there might not be.
This has opened my eyes. I have so many changes to make and I'm not going to waste any more time. Because when Jesus comes back, I want to be one of them that joins Him in the sky.
