Well...

I was supposed to blog about that class at church. I still will. But my mind hasn't been working correctly lately....it happens alot!
Just been (very slowly) getting things ready for the holiday season. We bought Christmas cards and gift tags last night. But that's about all the Christmas shopping we've gotten done so far. It's going to be a slim Christmas this year. But we're not going to let that mean a miserable Christmas. We'll be making alot of our gifts. I think extra-extended family will mostly get a candle (handmade) and some candy. I like making candy. Hubby's excited about being the tester for my trial runs. I think we'll make some soap too. Just melt and pour. We don't have the time or the room to do the real thing yet. We will someday though. I want to make some jewelry. We'll see what happens. We will buy some stuff too. Last year I ordered peat from Ireland for my dad. The weirdest gift I've ever bought! But he had gone to Ireland a couple years ago and talked about how good it smelled burning and that he wished he could get some.
This Christmas is also going to be hard because it'll be our first without my Papa. Every Christmas Eve as far back as I can remember we would go to their house. I don't know if my Grandma Jo will be doing it this year. It'll be weird either way.
On a different subject, I hate spiders. Can't stand them. Kill them whenever possible. With one exception. We have one over our bathroom sink. A little harmless brown one. I don't know why, but I can't bring myself to smoosh it! I even talk to it when I go in there. Is there something wrong with me? Maybe I really am losing my mind. I think I need to think of a name for it. Any ideas? I don't know why but I think it's a boy.
I'm going over to one of the other room mother's house today to work on Halloween party stuff. The when school lets out we're going to go into the classroom and try to set up what we can and see where everything's going to go. For all three of us room mothers, it's our first go round. We've never done this before and are a little nervous. I'm sure it will turn out fine though. Wish us luck! The party is tomorrow, obviously.
The in-laws are taking the kiddos trick or treating. Noah is going as a skeleton and Anya is going as a Ballerina Princess. I will post pictures as soon as I can. Which reminds me I need to charge up my camera batteries!
Well that's all for now! Take care now! Bye-bye then!

Hi Marietta, I love your blog, you seem like such a good person with a strong faith which I think is brilliant, Im a catholic and strongly believe in God.
I think your christmas gifts sound wonderful, we hav'nt bought anything for christmas yet, we wait until December.
I think you should name your spider Harry, for some reason, here in England we always call spiders Harry, or incy wincy (little spider).
Take Care, I will look forward to reading your post's.
Bye, Melanie.
