Oh my goodness! Where to start?
I'm not sure if I've posted about my hubby's new job yet so I will now. If I already have just ignore this part.
So hubby got a new job. He wasn't looking for one. But his best friend is the assistant manager at our local metal recycling yard. It's a big company that owns quite a few yards around 4 states (so far) Well hubby's best friend heard about a job opening. It was a job doing what he did but it would be at a different location. Well hubby sent in his resume which was promptly lost. But instead of just forgetting about it, the big wig called hubby's friend asking if hubby was still interested. So hubby's friend faxed the resume to them again. And less than a week later, the two top guys in the company drove all the way up here just to interview hubby! And within a 15 minute interview, hubby was hired. He's going to be training here at our local yard for 6-8 months, then we're VERY POSSIBLY being transferred. Unless they're getting ready to aquire a new yard (which is possible), the furthest away we'll have to move is about 4 hours away. But it is also possible they'll need a second assistant manager at the local yard and we won't have to move out of town. Either way, once his training is over, his salary will at least double!
He's really enjoying it. They're starting him at the bottom so he will learn every aspect of the yard. A good manager knows how to do everything his workers do! It's hard and dirty work but he likes it alot. I'm so glad!
So, because we may have to move in 5 to 7 months (he's worked there a month already), we have to get this house ready to sell. There's so much to do! I'm afraid we're going to have to take a loss on this house. It's not in the greatest shape and we don't have a lot of time to get things done. Especially if it's a harsh winter because alot of the work is outside.
Not to mention how busy we're going to be the rest of 2007 alone! Here's what we have to do in the next few weeks...
I have to clean a spot for my daughter's new big girl bed which we're getting Friday. Saturday we have a friend's wedding to go to. Sunday we're going to Silver Dollar City for the day. A week from tomorrow is my daughter's 2nd birthday! My son's school pictures are also on that day. Plus all next week we have to be getting stuff ready for our annual gem and mineral show in which we always have a table. That is on Saturday and Sunday. It's alot of work but it's alot of fun too. As far as I know, we don't have anything specific planned for that next week. But on Saturday Oct. 6 we are going to the KC Renaissance Festival! I am so excited about that!!! I have ALWAYS wanted to go. I wanted to make costumes for it but with so much else going on I don't think I'm going to have time.

Plus my hubby might be playing his guitar in a Christmas concert and, if he is, he's got ALOT of practicing to do! It was a sure thing and then the guy who's putting it on's brother said he MIGHT be able to play. So basically they're planning on dragging hubby along until November before they tell him for sure if he'll be in the concert. Kinda crappy if you ask me.
Not to mention all the holiday stuff. We have Halloween! We might be helping hubby's brother with a party. He hasn't decded if he's having one yet. I hope he does. They're alway so much fun! Then Thanksgiving. And then the big one! Christmas!!! There's only 97 more days until Christmas! We haven't even started THINKING about shopping yet. We had already started this time last year!
I really don't know how we're going to get everything ready for if/when we have to move. Although I am VERY excited about getting out of this house! In fact I really don't care if we move out of town. There are a few people I'd miss a whole lot. But there's a lot I wouldn't miss. I've never liked this town actually.
Oh and my hubby bought himself a Harley Davidson Sportster 883R! See.....
